Public Swim - Age policies
- Ages 11 & under must be accompanied by an adult in the facility, and both adults and youth pay session fees.
- Ages 12 to 17 must have a completed MINOR Waiver form (PDF) on file to attend without an adult present. Children without a completed waiver form on file will not be admitted to the facility without an adult. No Exceptions! Waive must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.

Drop-in registration only
- The maximum capacity for each session varies based on the number of lifeguards on duty.
- All pool patrons must check-in at front desk, admission is first come, first served.
- All pool patrons must pay the session fee, whether swimming or not, as each person in the pool area (on deck or in water) is under lifeguard supervision responsibility and counts towards the session's maximum capacity.

Session Information
- Participants are expected to follow all pool rules and any direction given by the lifeguards on duty. Depending on behavior and disregard of pool rules or the direction of lifeguards, patrons may be ejected and/or suspended from the facility.
- Safety Breaks - are not scheduled during this season's public swim sessions. However, dependent on patrons, weather and safety issues, lifeguards may initiate a 15-minute safety break, requiring all patrons to exit the pool during that break.
- Lap Lane Use - is only for participants that have registered to lap swim during a session. Public Swim participants will not be allowed to swim in the lap lanes. Lap swim options are listed on the Aqua Fitness Session page.
- Splash Pad - is open.
- Big Slide - is expected to open during public swim sessions. However, unforeseen closures may occur due to staffing or maintenance issues. Also, if fewer than 25 people are in the pool, the slide may be closed early (typically halfway through the session or later). The slide will not operate on Wednesday nights. In October, the big slide will only be operating for a limited time during the Saturday session.
- The Deep End- is expected to be open during public swim sessions. However, unforeseen deep-end closures during public swim may occur due to staffing or maintenance issues. Also, if fewer than 25 people are in the pool, the deep end may be closed early (typically halfway through the session or later). The deep end will not be open on Wednesday nights. In October, the deep end will only be available for a limited time during the Saturday session due to AHS swim team practices.
- Deep End Test—once per season, all youth ages 17 and below must pass the deep end test before swimming in the deep end. Check in with the Lifeguard Office to find out options for testing.
- Appropriate Swim Attire Required-
- Males - swim trunks, board shorts, and swim shirts allowed
(PLEASE DO NOT wear thong swimsuits, athletic shorts, underwear, denim cut-offs, or cotton shirts) - Females - one-piece or modest two-piece swimsuits, swim shorts, and swim shirts allowed
(PLEASE DO NOT wear G-string, thong or cheeky bottoms, underwear, denim cut-offs, or cotton shirts) - INFANTS & TODDLERS - must wear swim diapers or rubber pants while in the pool (DO NOT wear regular diapers or underwear in the pool, accidents will require a pool shutdown)
- Males - swim trunks, board shorts, and swim shirts allowed
- Water Toys - only small water toys are allowed in the pool (i.e., diving rings, inflatable beach balls...). Please do not bring large flotation devices or toys, water guns, blasters or launchers, and/or sports equipment (e.g., football, baseball, tennis ball, frisbee...) as they pose safety concerns and will be taken away if needed.
- Food and drink are allowed only in the designated patio area.
- NO GLASS containers or items anywhere in the pool and deck area.
