I/We, the above named individual/group, hereby agree to waive any and all liability on the part of the City of Alamogordo, Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department, and their respective employees, agents, and volunteers for any and all injuries, losses, or damages that I/we may sustain as a result of my/our participation in the Adopt-A-Spot program. I/we understand that I/we am/are responsible for my/our own safety and the safety of my/our volunteers, and I/we agree to take all reasonable precautions to avoid injury.
In addition to the above, I/we, the above-name individual/group, also agree to hold harmless the City of Alamogordo, Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department, and their respective employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with my group's participation in the Adopt-A-Spot program. I/We understand that I/we am/are responsible for the actions of my/our group members, and I/we agree to take all reasonable steps to ensure that my/our group members behave in a safe and responsible manner.
All groups participating in the Adopt-A-Spot program must watch the training video and pass the Adopt-A-Spot Training Quiz. The training will cover the following topics:

The City of Alamogordo and the Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department will recognize the adopter group/individual by providing them with a certificate of adoption and, if funding allows, a sign recognizing the group/individual’s adopted spot.
If funding allows, the Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department will post a sign recognizing the group/individual at the adopted spot 2 quarters after the date of adoption in which the group/individual has completed cleanup events. The sign will be one of three sizes, depending on the length of time the group/individual has successfully maintained their spot:
The signs will be placed in a visible location near the adopted spot.
Adopter groups/individuals can request litter kits by contacting the Alamogordo Parks Division office. The office will provide litter kits to adopter groups/individuals on a first-come, first-served basis. Adopter Group/individual must notify the Parks Division 48 hours before the anticipated litter pick-up event to coordinate the Litter Cleanup Kit collection and return.
Adopter groups/individuals are required to report their cleanup events to the Adopt-A-Spot Page located on the City of Alamogordo website. The report will include information including, but not limited to, the date, time, location, and number of volunteers who participated in the cleanup.
The term of agreement for the Adopt-A-Spot program is one year. Adopter groups/individuals can renew their agreement for an additional year by filling out the appropriate form on the Adopt-A-Spot Page on the City of Alamogordo website. If an adopter group/individual fails to renew their agreement within 30 days of the agreement's expiration date, the Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department will take steps, up to but not limited to, termination of the adoption agreement.
Adopter groups/individuals that do not maintain their adopted spot may be subject to penalties up to, but not limited to termination of the adoption agreement.
I hereby grant the Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department and the City of Alamogordo and its agents, representatives, and assigns, the right to use my name, likeness, and voice in any and all media, including but not limited to photographs, videos, and print materials, for the purpose of promoting the Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department Adopt-A-Spot Program. I understand that I will not be compensated for the use of my name, likeness, or voice.
I also understand that I have the right to revoke this media release waiver at any time by providing written notice to the Alamogordo Parks & Recreation Department.
