1. I will not indulge in conduct that would incite players or spectators against the officials, program coordinators, coaches, or teams. Public criticism of officials, players, program coordinators, or other coaches is inappropriate and unethical – any issues should be brought to the Recreation Coordinator.
2. I will do my very best to provide a fun, safe playing situation for my players in both practices and games, ensuring activities (drills, plays…, etc.) are age/ability appropriate and equipment is sound. I will stress the importance of sportsmanship and fair play while teaching skill development, good sportsmanship, and teamwork.
3. I will treat all players, coaches, officials, event staff, and fans with respect regardless of race, gender, creed, or ability.
4. I will be reasonable in my expectations of players, remembering that their enthusiasm, ability, and concentration will fluctuate constantly – patience is the key! 
5. I will provide each player with an equal amount of playing time during games (Except for a player who has missed multiple practices and safety is a concern. I will notify the Recreation Coordinator and Scorer’s Table if this situation occurs).
6. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, and contest administrators at every game.
7. I will maintain respectful and courteous relationships with the opposing teams and coaches throughout the season and after each game.
8. I will do my best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players and to coach through encouragement, praise, and positive reinforcement. Striving to always be positive towards my players and treat each player fairly, realizing that each player has the right to have fun.
9. I will remember that I am a youth coach and that the game is for children, not adults.
10. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of others ahead of my personal desire to win.
11. I will strive to achieve the objectives of this program: to teach players skill development and teamwork, ensure their safety, and allow them to have fun.
12. I will not use profanity, obscene gestures, comments, or abusive language to players, parents, officials, league administrators, or any other persons associated with this program. Verbal and/or mental abuse of any kind will not be tolerated in this program.
13. I will not engage in any type of physical aggression or violence toward officials, players, program staff, other coaches, or spectators. Physical intimidation, contact (including spitting), or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated in this program.
14. I will not use or be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco products at all practices, games, and meetings associated with this program, including games practices or league meetings. Zero tolerance of alcohol or drug use, staff is mandated to report any suspicion (e.g., smell, behavior) to the authorities.
15. I will remember that, as a team coach, I am responsible for the behavior of the players on my team and that of the associated spectators attending games and practices (e.g., parents and siblings…).
16. I will respect and adhere to the policies and procedures of the REC/CLUB Basketball League.
17. I understand the ARC Staff has the right to remove any coach whose actions are detrimental to the program, team, and/or player.
18. I assume all risks of injury incurred or suffered by me while at or participating in this activity.
19. I have read the above contract and understand the guidelines and consequences as stated.
